On May 4, Stellagalan 2026 once again takes place at Sergel Hub, an annual gala focused on advancing gender equality within the restaurant and beverage industry. During the evening, some of the industry’s most recognized names gather to celebrate and highlight outstanding female professionals.
Among this year’s presenters are profiles such as Ellen Franzén, multiple-time Swedish and Nordic Sommelier Champion and Head Sommelier at Freyja+Söder, chef and culinary personality Erik Videgård, Helene Kugelberg, CEO of Årets Kock, and Peter Asp Jelksäter, coach of Bocuse d’Or. Together, they represent a broad range of experience and expertise from across the industry.
Since its inception in 2018, Stellagalan has worked to create a more equal restaurant industry by highlighting role models and building a platform for collaboration.
“We have succeeded in creating a platform for collaboration and, by highlighting role models, we have inspired and strengthened new generations,” says Anette Rosvall, spokesperson for Stellagalan.
Throughout the evening, awards will be presented across nine categories, including Stellakock, Stellabartender, Stellasommelier and Stellamentor, as well as the prestigious Stella Honorary Award. The winners are selected by a jury and presented by a range of established figures from gastronomy, media and beverage culture.
In addition to the aforementioned presenters, participants include Johan Petersson, Mia Öhrn, Bella Porcile, Johan Evers, Montadar Kanbar, Kristin Hamberg, Lars Collin, Erika Funke, Ulrika Karlsson, Daniel Räms and Klara Larsson.
The evening is hosted by Andreas Grube, beverage writer, and Liza Wåhlin, project manager and artist. The event brings together partners, guests and media to highlight the industry’s development and future.
During the gala, a scholarship from the Suzanne Wohlin Foundation will also be awarded, further supporting and promoting talent within the industry.
